Testing takes between 20 and 30 minutes. The candidate undergoing the testing will be required to perform some basic tasks, while wearing their mask, to enable the assessor to determine whether there is a good seal and that the wearer is therefore receiving appropriate protection from the mask.
If a candidate's mask is found to provide insufficient respiratory protection, we will advise on adjustments to make; or an alternative mask to purchase, should this be required. We will then conduct a re-test (1 additional test is included in the price).
A report detailing the results of the testing will be issued electronically after completion of the test, which is valid until such a time that the candidate changes masks, or there is a significant change to their face shape (including growing facial hair).
On Face Fit Open Days, appointment slots start from 09:00 and are available throughout the day. To book your test, or a test for somebody else, simply complete our online booking process and one of our team will be in touch to confirm which timeslots are available on your chosen date.
