This Manual Handling Assessors course is designed for managers and supervisors who plan and define safe systems of work for others to follow.

 This Working at Height course is designed to provide candidates with the knowledge to work safely at height.

Required Equipment: Abrasive wheel, appropriate tools and safety wear

The aim of this training course is to provide an understanding of current legislation relating to the use of abrasive wheels, and to promote awareness of the hazards involved in working with them.

The training focusses on enabling operators to spot the dangers which arise from the use of these tools. Addressing the main causes of accidents, injuries and illnesses which occur from using abrasive wheels. With the ultimate aim of reducing the number of injuries and accidents caused through the use of cutting tools.

This training course is designed for companies and individuals who may come into contact with asbestos in construction or demolition during their work. This course gives you the knowledge and information required to take the necessary precautions when asbestos is found. It also enables you to identify possible locations where asbestos could be found.

This SMSTS Refresher course is for those who hold the Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate (SMSTS) and wish to update their knowledge and skills in line with current legislation.  Successful attendees will receive a new Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate, which is valid for 5 years.  The SMSTS Refresher course covers The Health and Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the construction industry.

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is designed for Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Supervisors and Proprietors of smaller companies.  The SMSTS course is identified in Approved Codes of Practice as the ideal core training for all Site Managers.  It covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and all regulations relevant to the construction industry.

Anyone wishing to apply for a CSCS Labourers Green Card MUST hold a qualification (this course is accepted) as well as passing the CITB health, safety and environment test, before applying via CSCS's website.

IMPORTANT:

• *We can only test half-face and disposable masks. 
• *We cannot test full-face masks.
• *We do not provide masks.

Requirements for successful testing:

1. Candidates must bring their own half-face mask, along with a new set of filters.  If using a disposable mask, this must be new.

2. Candidates must be clean shaven, a wet shave with no visible hair.

3. Candidates must refrain from eating, drinking or chewing gum for 15 minutes prior to the test.

4. Candidates must refrain from smoking for 1 hour prior to the test.

The 2-day CITB Site Supervison Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course is for first line managers, who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.  It aims to give them an understanding of the legal issues which affect their day to day role.  This includes environmental, legal and welfare responsibilities.  The course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and all regulations relevant to the construction industry.
